THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

The Phantom of the OperaTHE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - Since it was first published in 1908, "The Phantom of the Opera" has captured the imagination of millions with its famous tale of a tragic, disfigured genius and his obsessive love for the young woman he can never possess. Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical version of the classic horror tale sweeps us up in 'the music of the night,' as "The Phantom" weaves its haunting spell. While the action may be too intense for younger film fans, the violence level is low and the climactic sight of the Phantom's disfigured face is surprisingly mild. The result is one of the year's best films, for 5 tickets out of 5 on the Mr. Movie Scale.
2 hours and 23 minutes.
Rated PG-13 for some violence and makeup effects.
