HUMMUS
DIP
14.5 oz can of chick
peas
2 tablespoons of tahini (sesame seed paste)
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 large garlic clove crushed
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
salt
toast, bagel chips,or
pita bread
or
cruchy veggies like carrots, celery or peppers
Drain the chick peas and save the
liquid for later. Put the chick peas in a blender
(with adult supervision) and add the tahini, lemon
juice, garlic, cumin and 4 tablespoons of the
chick pea liquid. Blend until it is really smooth.
Now spread it on toast, bagel chips,
pita bread or serve it with cruchy veggies like
carrots, celery or peppers.
