Blood
& Guts Soup
Makes 2 serving(s)
WHAT'S IN IT?
2 cups ready-to-serve tomato soup
1 cup chow mein noodles
4 (1-ounce) slices turkey breast
STUFF YOU NEED
Can opener (if you need)
Liquid measuring cup
Medium-size, microwave-safe bowl
Microwave-safe plastic wrap
Potholders
Dry measuring cups
Large spoon
2 soup bowls
2 soup spoons
HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER
1. Open the soup jar or can. Use a can opener
if it's a can. All you need is your hands if your
soup is from a jar!
2. From a liquid measuring cup,
pour the soup into a medium-size, microwave-safe
bowl. This is the "blood!"
3. Loosely cover the bowl with microwave-safe
plastic wrap, turning back one corner of the wrap
to let out the extra steam.
4. Microwave on high for 3 1/2 minutes,
or until hot. Let stand in the microwave for 1
minute.
5. Carefully remove the soup from
the microwave with potholders. Watch out for the
steam!
6. From a dry measuring cup, sprinkle
the chow mein noodles (little "guts")
into the soup. Dip in the large spoon and stir.
7. Rip up the turkey slices (big
"guts") any way you want. Toss the turkey
into the soup. Dip in and stir again.
8. Serve the Blood & Guts Soup
in two soup bowls. Then, dive into each with a
soup spoon!
