Being a Mother has been the most extraordinary experience of my entire life! What my daughter has taught me is to be more, to live more, to love more and to appreciate the innate potential that all of us have within ourselves. Having worked in the fields of Film and Video Production, Art Direction and Graphic Design, I have learned to meet deadlines at a moment's notice. Sometimes a Director will make a last minute call on the set and it has to change within 5 minutes, which means concept-to-final art in that amount of time! This is definitely Gorilla Training for Motherhood. Once I had to use a discarded refrigerator box that was lying on the street. It worked perfectly in hiding some graffiti that would have ruined an establishing shot! What this kind of work teaches you is to be resourceful when there are no resources in sight.

When I first met the amazing Ms. Cooperstein, we were sitting together at parent night for our 2nd grade daughters. It was one of those meetings where you just know something wonderful was about to happen and it did! From that moment, we have grown in our friendship and in our ability to inspire each other and our daughters! Working with Lori is like having some great creative switch turned on and we continue to build on all the possibilities that are out there when you open yourself up to the magic of life. Bringing children back to a place where they can play together and discover all the joys of simply being children is what we're really about.

Lori Cooperstein

Lori Cooperstein

As a mother of twins, former Girl Scout leader, involved community member and owner of my own graphic design business, I have learned the fine art of juggling. Multitasking as they call it today. The current new phenomenon is the overscheduled child, but that directly relates to the overscheduled parent. Something I'm sure most of us can relate to. When Michell came to me and presented her idea on playdates - initiating play, social interaction and getting children back to the basics of our own childhoods while making it as easy and as stress free as possible for the parent, I immediately recognized the need and wanted to be a part of it. As our work progressed, it started to blossom out in many directions and we feel this is just the tip of the iceburg. Please stay in touch with our site for it is just the beginning!

Sharla Feldscher

Sharla Feldscher is an author, former teacher, public relations professional and, above all, an advocate for children. Her own children are now adults but the joy of raising them and doing work to support young people is her greatest reward. To Sharla, the most important thing parents can do is share joy with their children – to talk and listen to each other, to giggle together, to "play," and above all, respect one another. With this as a foundation, there will surely be a basis of love to last a lifetime.

The author of six books of creative activities for children, Sharla owns her own public relations firm – SFPR – based in Philadelphia. She began the business in 1984 with Sesame Place as her first account. She says with a smile, "Big Bird was my first client!" Sesame Place, the nation's only theme park based on the award-winning television show Sesame Street, is still a client today.

Sharla‚s early work in public relations, marketing and the media was inspired by her teaching experience in Philadelphia. Her love of children led her to write numerous books for teachers and parents, including two KIDFUN® Activity Books (HarperCollins) that were translated into German and Russian. She wrote and edited columns for and by kids in the Philadelphia Daily News for seven years, the Jewish Exponent, the Phillies and she had regular features on KYW Newsradio for two years. In her transition to the public relations field, Sharla drew on her expertise as an educator, serving as Director of Public Affairs for Please Touch Museum, where she helped bring the children's museum to prominence. www.sf-pr.com
