Sunshine Shakers

Sunshine ShakersMaterials:

Paper Plates: 2 for each Sunshine Shaker (any size will do)
Craft Paints
Colored Posterboard or Card Stock
Glue and Stapler
Scissors and Brushes
Sticks or Popsicle Sticks
Pasta or Beans (uncooked)

Directions:

Paint the back of a paper plate so that it is a wonderful sun with a beautiful face. Glue (or tape down) pieces of colored card stock or posterboard to the inside of the paper plate to make rays of sunshine. Then position both plates together and fill with beans and pasta. Glue and staple together both parts together, but leave a spot to insert a stick or piece of wood to hold the shaker and then staple together so that no beans or pasta fall out. You may also want to add a little extra tape to the bottom. Now let the kids dance around with their shakers. This is so much fun!
