A simple shape,
such as the 6 pointed Star of David, can
really lend itself to a lot of fun craft
ideas for the season.
Use the
template
to cut out stars from construction paper
or cardboard and decorate the stars with
cut pieces of paper, glitter, stickers,
buttons and beads, or even markers and paint.
Lace ribbon through
the tops to create a string of garland or
hang them individually from windows for
pretty accents.
Glue down stars
to the front of a piece of construction
paper folded in half to create greeting
cards or attach to the front of gift bags
to maker personalized Chanukah bags.

know…
The Star of David is called the Shield of
David (in Hebrew it is pronounced Magen
David. It is named after King David of ancient
Israel. It is a generally recognized symbol
of Judaism and Jewish identity and is also
known colloquially as the Jewish Star. This
usage began in the Middle Ages, alongside
the more ancient symbol of the menorah.
With the establishment of the State of Israel
in 1948 the Star of David on the Flag of
Israel has also become a symbol of Israel.
