Book Cover Techno Craft
With all the
excitement of going Back to School, here
is a fun activity to get ready and at the
same time make a useful craft. Book covers
are a standard requirement in most schools,
so if you have a free afternoon and some
really cool photos, then you are pretty
much good to go on this one! What you will
be making is a front cover that is a special
memory as well as a fun way for you to cover
a book. The craft will not actually be a
complete cover but a do-ahead front piece
that can be attached to the books when you
arrive the first week of school.
Materials:
Photos
Old cardboard or the back of a cereal box.
Scissors, glue, tape, stickers and colored
paper
Directions:
Print a great picture from your computer
off of your digital camera* (or you can
use any photo you already have printed).
Glue onto the cardboard and decorate with
stickers, text from your computer, colored
papers and markers.
When it’s
time for school and all the books arrive
home, you will have great book cover artwork
to glue onto the books once they are covered
in brown paper or some other decorative
paper. Happy Back to School!
*If you have
a photo program on your computer, have fun
experimenting with the photo with the special
effects. You can also add type.
