PlayDates for Girls

The future of girls is going to be a concern for all families with daughters. This will also be the case for anyone looking at the long term effect of our entire culture. Whereas boys roles in the culture have not changed dramatically, girls roles have.

These changes have also been evident in the way little girls are beginning to play. With more and more mothers taking on serious career challenges, it seems that less and less play time focuses on the nurturing styles of former generations. This is probably because the modeling of important influences on a girl will not necessarily focus on child-rearing and household responsibilities, but more on entrepreneurial-style activities and in areas that develop the strengths needed for a girls future.

Many of the cartoons that are on TV feature girls in super-hero roles or in leadership capacity, this is incredible for girls to be exposed to so many high level opportunities. It is the rare case when there is a show where girls are in a domestic capacity.
While many girls are active in sports programs, and activities that foster
independence, girls also need time to develop their aesthetic side which is innate to girls.

And they need to spend time doing activities that are creative in nature. Of course every girl is different. With the Fun PlayDates line of products, our intent is to help girls develop their creative strengths and to find the deep resources within their imaginations. When these skills are activated they show a girl the many different ways that a challenge can be approached.
